  3. Prepare 1/4 kg Green Peas

  7. Prepare 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder

  16. Get 4 tbsp Oil
  17. Get 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  18. Get 1 pinch Asafoetida
  19. Get Whole Garam Masala:
  20. Get 4-5 Whole Red Kashmiri Chillies
  21. Take 1 Star Anise
  22. Get 1 Javitri
  23. Prepare 2-3 Bay Leaves
  24. Take 3 Cardamoms
  25. Get 2 Cinnamon Stick (1")
  26. Get 3-4 Cloves
  27. Prepare as required Few Peppercorns
  28. Prepare 2 Onions (Finely Chopped)
  29. Prepare 4-6 Green Chillies (Finely Chopped)
  30. Get 2-3 Sprigs Curry Leaves (Finely Chopped)
  31. Prepare 2 Tomatoes (Finely Chopped)
  32. Prepare 1 cup Hot Water
  33. Prepare 1 cup Coriander Leaves (Chopped)

Make it as spicy as you want by varying the amount of chillies you use. Mix well and cook over medium heat until the butter comes to the surface. Add the peas and cook until they're tender, and the Chicken Curry with Potatoes. We didn't have the hot curry powder on hand just the regular curry spice so we added some oriental hot sauce in a pinch & it all.

Steps to make Chicken Mince Curry with Green Peas and Potatoes:
  1. Wash the chicken mince nicely. Drain the water completely. Wash the green peas. Wash the potatoes. Peel the skin and cut into small pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the chicken mince, green peas, potatoes, lemon juice, ginger and garlic paste, turmeric powder and salt, pepper powder, fennel powder, cumin powder, chicken masala, chilli powder and coriander powder. Mix nicely and marinate for few hours or overnight.
  3. In a cooking pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add asafoetida. Add all the whole garam masala and saute for a minute. Add onions, green chillies and curry leaves and saute till the onions are translucent.
  4. Add the tomatoes and little salt and saute till the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  5. Add the marinated chicken mince, green peas and potatoes and coriander leaves and saute on high for 4 to 5 minutes.
  6. Add 1cup hot water and let it come to a boil. Keeping the flame on low, cover and cook till done. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve warm

Potatoes and cauliflower are common in Thai Yellow Curry Chicken and taste AMAZING, but you may substitute them with other vegetables. The potatoes take up a lot of volume, so you will need quite a bit more other vegetables to take their place. A great tasting curry from scratch will always call for a fair few spices. Simmer to reduce and thicken, then stir in green onion and parsley at the end. Want to make a lower carb I added some minced garlic and peas and honestly this is one of my favourite recipes.
